How to Make Miis Fall in Love in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream

At a glance

Check that both Miis’ dating preferences include each other and that they are in compatible age groups. Introduce them, keep helping with social requests, then support a pink confession request. They become Sweethearts only if the confession is accepted.

Check dating eligibility

Both residents’ dating preferences must include the other Mii’s gender. Children under 18 can develop romance with children, while adults and children do not pair up.

Check both residents rather than assuming one person’s preferences are enough.

Help the pair meet

Pick up one Mii and place them near the other. Continue giving them opportunities to interact, respond to orange friendship requests and watch for pink romantic requests.

A one-sided Crush does not mean the other Mii feels the same way. Check each person’s relationship rankings separately.

Support a confession

When a resident asks about someone they like or wants to confess:

  1. Encourage the request.
  2. Choose the confession location and approach when prompted.
  3. Help choose an outfit.
  4. Let the event play out.

The pair become Sweethearts if the other Mii accepts. A rival may interrupt, and acceptance is not guaranteed.

If nothing happens or they are rejected

Recheck both dating preferences, their age groups and their relationship. Continue helping with interactions and wait for another opportunity. There is no fixed number of days that guarantees a chosen pair will date.

Setting someone as a real-world partner does not skip the island’s introduction and confession events. Sharing a home also does not automatically mean two Miis are dating.
